Fortinet- Businesses can now Protect More with Less with Fortinet Network Security Solutions

Friday January 25 2013:  PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – A wide cross-section of the business community and government in Trinidad and Tobago got a glimpse of the Next Generation Network Security Solutions by Fortinet.  The meeting hosted by Metropolitan Networks, a leading IT solution and services provider, entitled “The Power to Enable” took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Wednesday January 23.

The Fortinet presentations were delivered by Gilbert Perez, Country Manager for the Caribbean and Bermuda and Gilberto Rivera, Systems Engineer.

Fortinet, which has been a business partner of Metropolitan Networks for the past 4 years, is a global leader in the provision of network security appliances and the market leader in Unified Threat Management or UTM which allows organizations to safeguard against damage that could be caused by Spyware, Worms, Spam, banned content, Trojans, Viruses and Intrusions.

Fortinet also provides organizations of all sizes the power to manage and control their users, applications, data and devices.  The result is increased threat protection, improved business processes, simplified management and reduced costs.

Whereas the performance of a typical platform is slow, with a single processing engine, Fortinet’s purpose-built architecture delivers very high throughput with exceptionally low latency and the world’s fastest firewall allowing it to deliver more processing power.

In this more sophisticated IT threat landscape, Fortinet allows organizations to “Protect More With Less”.

Fortinet’s consolidated security technologies, hardware-accelerated performance and global threat research and support are the three defining advantages that set Fortinet apart from every other security vendor.  Fortinet’s consolidated security strategy and market-leading technology enable organizations to improve their security posture while reducing costs and simplifying their security infrastructure.

The presentations triggered many questions from the floor and two lucky participants at the meeting - Sanjay Gayadeen of Petrotrin and Jeffrey John Charles of Infolink – were winners of iPads courtesy Fortinet.
