MHTL Executives and St. Margaret's Boys' Steel Orchestra pay a Courtesy Call
The Board of Directors and CEO ofMethanol Holdings (Trinidad) Limited (MHTL) along with executives from the St.Margaret’s Boys’ Steel Orchestra of Belmont paid a courtesy call on HisExcellency President Anthony Carmona, where they were warmly greeted.
Thevisit took place on May 28 at the Office of the President, St. Ann’s.
MHTLis the sponsor of the trip by the St. Margaret’s Boys’ Steel Orchestra to theworld renowned Carnegie Hall, New York where they will deliver an historicperformance at the 2015 New York Sounds of Summer International Music Festival onJune 17.
Thisvisit to the Office of the President came in advance of a free publicperformance by the St. Margaret’s Boys’ Steel Orchestra titled “Belmont toCarnegie” hosted by MHTL at the Queen’s Hall later that evening, as a preludeto their departure to Carnegie Hall.
Followingthe meeting, the President was then treated to a sneak preview of the upcoming concertby members of the Orchestra.
ThePresident was very appreciative of MHTL’s wholehearted support of this venture andof the efforts of the executive team of the Orchestra for their commitment to thechildren of Belmont. His Excellency also saw the event at Carnegie Hall as a fitting tribute tothe national instrument.
