Share More with The Digicel Foundation this Christmas

TUESDAY DECEMBER 07, 2021: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – The Digicel Foundation headed to Perseverance Village, Chaguanas over the past weekend to kick off its 2021 Christmas initiative called #ShareMore. The Foundation partnered with the Perseverance Village Committee on Sustainable Community Development (PVCSCD) at their Trini Christmas Market from Dec 3-4 at the Rennaissance Park, Ramsaran Street, Chaguanas.

Vendors displayed and sold traditional homemade sweets, ponche de crème, handcraft and wood craft, bags, plants etc. in true Trini Christmas style!

Shelly ann Hope, Vendor and Co-Chair of the Perseverance Village Committee on Sustainable Community Development (PVCSCD) said, “This opportunity was amazing and we are so happy to be a Digicel Foundation partner and to host this Market. It will definitely boost visibility of our community and local artisans.”

Digicel CEO, Abraham Smith joined in on bringing the Christmas cheer by surprising the children as Santa. Mr. Smith distributed 100 toys to children visiting the market on Saturday.

The Mayor of Chaguanas – His Worship Faaiq Mohammed also stopped by to check out the market and to support the community in its first venture.

Digicel Foundation will #ShareMore this Christmas with community activities happening in Chaguanas, Marabella, Tobago, Barataria, and Tamana. The Foundation also awarded 12 Digicel team members with TT$5,000 to #sharemore in their respective communities.
