TUESDAY 30 JULY, 2024: PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO – The Digicel Trinidad and Tobago Foundation is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the first-ever Caribbean Beach Games, hosted by the Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago (SOTT) later this year from 8th - 10th November 2024. On 16 July, Digicel Group CEO Marcelo Cataldo presented a donation of US$20,000 to the Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago (SOTT) to support this new venture.

Hundreds of athletes from nine Caribbean programmes are set to compete in a number of disciplines during the inaugural Caribbean Beach Games, including Beach Football, Beach Cricket, Beach Volleyball, Beach Bocce, Aquathlon and an Open Water Swim. The Games will be held on Maracas Beach in Trinidad and Bacolet Bay in Tobago.
